On November 2/15 Julian was interviewed by the Toronto Star to talk about the issues on sheltered workshops that segregate people with intellectual disabilities.

www.thestar.com One May 28/15, Julian was invited to have lunch with the mayor of Parry Sound to promote employment opportunities for those with disabilities. As well he was able to speak to at the major's breakfast to support community living and share his story with people from Parry Sound.
Julian, as a self-advocate representing Inclusion International, was invited to speak at the recent World Down Syndrome Day conference “My Opportunities, My Choices” – Enjoying Full and Equal Rights and the Role of Families” held at the United Nations in New York. Julian spoke passionately about his right to make decisions and about his life in community. His presentation showed the power of an ordinary life and the support from his family and friends to make it happen. |
